fight club

I'm breaking the first rule of fight club by talking about this movie. But I can't help it. It's easily one of my absolute favorite movies of all time. The writing is SO SMART. It's brilliant. So quotable. It makes you think. Believe it or not, it makes you want to be a better person. It challenges your assumptions about the meaning of life and the role that material possessions play in it. It challenges a lot of things, and you won't always agree with where the author takes you, but if you aren't easily offended, you'll be better for the journey.

Yes, there is a HUGE twist in the movie, a GIANT reveal, in the last twenty minutes of the movie that turn everything upside down. But the movie isn't JUST the twist. For example, I'm not super interested in watching Sixth Sense over and over. Now that I know the big reveal from that movie, I'm kind of done with it. I might watch it one more time. But I won't buy it and watch it over and over like I will Fight Club.

Now let's stop talking about it before we get kicked out.

PS there is LOTS of strong language, pretty extreme violence, sex, and nudity in this one. So keep the kids away and don't watch if you're offended by such things.
